The city's beautiful, the people are diversely great, the weather is close to perfect, and the music scene is amazing. And, of course, there was Bill Graham. No wonder the city has played muse for such great songs as these. Jerry, Journey and Tower of Power are products of the area and Van the Man lived there for a while. Otis Redding wrote '(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay' there (Booker tells the story better than I would), and one of Harry Chapin's greatest songs takes place there. But Ric Lee's drum solo might sum it up the best...it's a place to let loose and enjoy yourself.
