With the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees announced, it's also time to take note again of who was snubbed from the RnR Hall of Fame. So while you won't find these artists' plaques in Cleveland, this mix has cuts from some of the best songwriters, musicians and performers of the 20th century. Others here have enjoyed lengthy, productive careers on both sides of the mixing console, while still others have performed such noble deeds as, for example, inventing the power chord. Only one artist from last year's Snubees list got a nom, fingers crossed Rush makes it in this year!

Congrats to all of the inductees, and to the folks on this list, for what it's worth, I think you've done more for rock and roll than Madonna has. So congrats on that!
