Concert Summary

After distinguishing himself and achieving a level of recognition in Europe, like Eric Clapton before him, Peter Green departed John Mayall's Bluesbreakers in 1967, freeing himself of employment and artistic restrictions. However, unlike most of the British guitar greats, Green was never concerned with flash or becoming a guitar superstar. This humble attitude and his approach to music…entire summary

Wow! This is an amazing concert, Greeny is really flying here, Jeremy sounds great on Red Hot Mamma and this is the best version of Danny Kirwan's Coming Your Way, particularly at the end! If you've heard the Paris Theatre, Boston shows or Dead Bust Blues, this may be even better. I agree that the date looks wrong - probably late '69 or 1970. BTW, it is Peter Green playing six string bass on Green Manalishi.

i don't think that's peter on a six string bass, that's jm playing his regular solo, i've heard him play it before. what say you?

Thank you....beautifully done. To me, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac is still by far the best Fleetwood Mac and I have seen almost every incarnation since '68.

Every time I hear this or any other of the early Fleetwood Mac gems, I thank heavens for Peter Green. He was the most UNSELFISH musician in rock'n'roll history. Someday, we may be similarly blessed again. fatharpgoody

I really love the early MAC. This concert is one to own. I met Mick Fleetwood last year at a Costco promoting his wine. He was great to talk too and makes a geat wine.

Please offer a LOSSLESS download. Preferably in FLAC format. I'd be all over this.

Hey, dopeburger! You received this show directly from Dinky?! Wow, that's what I call an excellent connection. Hope he has more in his store. Dinky get quoted pretty often in this "STRANGE BREW" bookk, BTW. It's THE source for following Peter Green, Mick Taylor's and EC's 1965-1970 shows and lifes.

Hey dondy, thanks for writing in (and for the book recommendation!), and we're glad you're enjoying the show. We've double-checked the date...it comes directly from Dinky Dawson's master tape. While it's always possible that something was mislabeled along the way, we have to stick with what we have here. Thanks again, Dopeburger.

TNX a big lot to great guys @WV for unearthing this definitely uncirculated show! Well, WV says Stockholm 3/23/69 and they did tour Scandinavia briefly around this date. However, this show, with “World in Harmony”, "Underway", a LONG "Coming Your Way" and “Green Manalishi is clearly a 11/69 US show, at the earliest. Perhaps it even stems from a slightly later date (Jan, 1970), as the earliest "World in Harmony" I know of was played in Seattle 1/17/70). Do you think you could check that date again? Where did you get it from? BTW, the "Strange Brew" book is a fantastic source for digging into Peter Green's Mac years and checking dates.
