Captured here toward the end of their career, after they'd become a trio (Tom Fogerty had departed the previous year), the band performs an outstanding set that is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Fillmore's closing week.

With the exception of two obscurities - "It Came Out Of The Sky" and "Door To Door" - this set is…entire summary

Here in Brazil there's a soccer striker whose father named him Creedence Clearwater Couto. Whenever he joins a different team, he has to tell the same story which his father is pretty proud of. I wouldn't know why Creedence - as the great CCR is known here - was so popular in Brazil in the 70's. Just for the record, I lived in a small town in Central State and my parents had Pendulum and Mardi Grass. Cheers, Leo Itumbiara

How cool...I saw this tour that same summer, only in Chicago---Bo Diddley opened up for them, Sweet Hitchhiker had just got released as a single, pot smoke was all around the International Amphitheater and the groove that night from BO and CCR was as best as it got. I remember John came out on stage wearing a cowboy hat and baby robin blue cowboy kind of outfit...he took off the hat and people booed---he had just cut all his hair off...the boos went away as soon as he hit the first note on his guitar.
