Concert Summary

Get comfortable, ‘cuz all the stories are true - the E Street Band came to play, and they’re not gonna stop until the roof caves in! This is powerful rock ‘n' roll revivalism and Springsteen makes the heat rain down upon the assembled Winterland parishioners.

Years before punk deconstructed popular music as a violent protest against the bloated rock ‘n' roll dinosaurs staggering from stadium to stadium, Bruce Springsteen was earnestly providing his own alternative to bone-headed riffing and cowbell solos,…entire summary

It would be hard to say which of their show was the best. They were all just a little bit different. For whatever reason it seems that after the Born In the USA tour he seemed to be more polished and produced. They were at their best in the mid to late 70's. To Howard and clevegreg I grew up in Cleveland and if you are interested in the Agora show send me an email.

I was there! Quite possibly one of the best Bruce shows I ever saw. I too am from Cleveland and was also at the Agora show, what a year it was. The only show I missed was the roxy show which was also right up there.

This is one of my favorite Bruce Springsteen shows, the songs hit you one after the other, no catching your breath here. IMO the definitive show is The Mainpoint Feb. 1975 show, Bruce's voice wasn't gravely back then and the songs and performances ('Incident' is over the top) were incredible with Suki on Violin, be nice if that show made it on here.

This was the last day of the Fall semester at the SF Art Institute. I was transplanted from NJ with my friend Donna and we dragged two friends to this show to celebrate school being out and to get into the holiday mood. When the band let loose with "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" we were there. Never have I seen someone enjoy their time on stage more than Bruce. His music that night was the best gift I ever received.

To me this has always been the definitive Bruce show. Candy's Room to Backstreets is Springsteen and the E Street Band at their best. Backstreets>Sad Eyes chills my spine very time I hear it!

Fantastic show, no two ways about it. We are researching the Darkness tour, including the Winterland shows for a new commemorative tribute. If any body would like to contribute a few words, or has original photography(from any show during the tour), please contact us at: pearpost44-news@yahoo.com Happy Holidays.

I didn't go to this show . Iwent to The Tubes & The Ramones show , and Tom Petty & Greg Kihn show on these last two weeks of Winterland . Chumped It . However , I stayed home and taped this show , and have listened to it in its entirety, this time of year ever since. So tonight , I,m drinking Anchor Christmas Beer 2008 and listening to my original tapes , with 10th Avenue and Raise Your Hand , included . Buzz On . I probably should,nt do this , but with the spirit of Bill Graham and Wolfgang's Vault , its time that a friend of mine that went to the Saturday show , share with everyone who cares , the incredible pictures he took that night . He was right in front , next to the stage , and took many roles of film . Prints,Slides . Easily over a couple hundred , and they're all incredible . I told him these pictures could put his son through college . He said he does'nt care to sell them . But they're so good that they should be seen . He's gonna be pissed , but I don't care , They are that good. You have my E-Mail. We can talk him into something . T%hanx,David. Oops.

I have been going to Bruce shows since 1974....His last show in St louis 2008 was by far the best I have ever seen. Bruce still has it.....What other groups today can still put out new music that still Rocks?

I had this show on bootleg record a long time ago and since it became history. This show compares to the Capitol Theater, NJ show 9/19/78. Most of it is on youtube or idesktop.tv. I'm convinced overall the Jersey show is superior. It was like a hometown show, playing in a small theater in Passaic to mostly people he knows. Check out particularly the Prove It All Night, Because The Night. But they are all awesome. AND IT'S VIDEO!!!! WITH PERFECT SOUND!!! And through idesktop.tv, you can download once you sign on. Enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving from a Bruce Head annd Deadhead ow living in Jerusalem
