Consisting of only five songs, this powerful showcase set by Canadian singer/songwriter Bruce Cockburn came shortly after the artist had taken a sabbatical to Nicaragua to perform humanitarian work. While there, he witnessed a brutal civil war where millions of refugees were brutally killed by both rebel and government forces.

This show, recorded at Chicago’s Park West theater for the King Biscuit Flower Hour, reflects the stark reality he witnessed, and features some of the best material Cockburn has ever written…entire summary

    To say that Cockburn's band is nothing short of exceptional is a serious understatement. They are truly inspired and elevate Bruce's performance to a stature that many musicians can't begin to imagine. It is sad to think that these 24 year old songs are, in so many respects as relevant today as they were when they were written. "Rocket Launcher" and Paul Simon's "American Tune" have been two anthems that have helped me through the last 8 years of government by dogma

    Ok, no comments? I've Bruce at least half a dozen times and EVERY concert has been better than the last. Greatest living songwriter!(OK, I'm a big fan.
