Concert Summary

This recording was made right after the release of Accept’s fifth album, Balls to the Wall - seven years after vocalist Udo Dirkschneider formed his powerful German metal band in Cologne. Though the group had become a festival/arena headlining act in Europe, they were virtually unknown in the U.S., and this was their first American tour. Balls to the Wall was also their debut album in America, and was backed heavily by the SONY-owned imprint, Portrait Records.

    Accept were always an underrated band. Balls to the Wall tour is where its at. Too bad the headlining show isnt here.....i've seen UDO solo too, and I tell you he is a great front man.......ACCEPT!

    SG Lou, they were opening up for Iron Maiden Powerslave Tour. My first concert ever in 1984. They were friggin awesome. I saw them in Binghamton, Ny. I was HOOKED imediatley!! What a show between both bands.

    saw them in london a number of times and boy were they great and always looked like they were really enjoying playing as well, as well as that little "we're not taking ourselves too seriously" that's what made them special and a band that people wanted to see and udo was always a great guy to chat to if you ever meet him

What a way to get ready for KISS!!! And right after the Kiss show, Accept played a rock club in Brooklyn called L'amours. I was there for that show at it totally KICKED ASS !

    Fast as a shark is the crazy music. I can play this song in rock festival in Assis, Brazil. The people are crazy with this music. Udo and the Accept have got the spirit the rock and roll. Great band the heavy metal.

    This band opened for KISS on March 9th, 1984 in NYC......I wonder if they were opening on this particular night too? What a way to get ready for KISS!!!
